What to expect during your treatment

During your consult, you will be asked a series of specific questions relating to your overall health, pain and injury. An overall movement and body assessment will be carried out by your practitioner, in which a tailored treatment plan will then be created for you. Techniques used will include:

Trigger Point Release

Trigger Point Therapy is a form of Remedial Massage Therapy in which direct pressure is applied to specified points on tender muscle tissue to bring about a reduction in muscle tension and pain relief.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is a sheet of connective tissue beneath the skin that attaches, stabilizes, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs. The goal of myofascial therapy is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that your body can move more freely, restoring motion. It is sometimes referred to as 'myofascial release' therapy or 'myofascial trigger point therapy'.

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage is a technique that's used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues.

Cups are placed on the treatment area creating pressure that draws blood to the affected area, increasing blood flow. This in turn can help relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation.

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a popular treatment for myofascial restriction. IASTM uses specially designed instruments to provide a mobilizing effect to scar tissue and myofascial adhesions to decrease pain and improve range of motion (ROM) and function.

sports massage

Sports massage uses a variety of approaches to help athletes in training -- before, during, or after sports events. It can help promote flexibility and help prevent and rehabilitate injuries.
